HANES GLYNDWR: INTRODUCTION TO POBL GLYNDWR RAMBLERS PATHFINDER TRAILS - Trail No 1 Machynlleth to Vyrnwy/Llanwyddyn.

The concept of this Antur Hanes Glyndwr - POBL GLYNDWR RAMBLERS PATHFINDER TRAILS is to present for Pobl Glyndwr what may be described as an opportunity to walk back into history by means of Patriotic Ramblers Routes that will tell a story in our purpose the Story of Owain Glyndwr. Ahead of us via  this blog or maybe in time a special purpose blog, we shall outline a trail that may be followed and such will be trails that tell a particular purpose in this case of our No 1 Trail Machynlleth to Vyrnwy will tell the story of the years 1400 - 1404 - which are the signifigant four years of the Glyndŵr story from Rebel to Owain IV Tywysog Cymru. Last but not least upon reaching Llanwddyn - Vyrnwy there would be an option to stay some extra days in the area to make possible outings to Mathrafel and Meifod - and even further afield, to the North, to take in Sycharth and to the South, to take in Welshpool.

These trails may be walked any time of the year and are not meant to be nationally organised events but such which Individuals, families, freinds or coummunity groups or Societies may organise themselves to participate in as and when they choose. This first Glyndwr's trail however we suggest is made some what of an 'Autonomous National' event, that implies no national organisation as such but as far as is possible Pobl Glyndwr go ahead and carry out a 'GLYNDŴR PATHFINDER WALK WEEKEND' to take place between 23 - 24 - 25 - 26 MIS MEDI This as all such intended 'Glyndŵr Ramblers' events could become an annually held and would follow paths associated with 'Hanes Glyndŵr' as this one between Machynlleth and Vyrnwy. if organised well along the entire route with social cultural events being organised at start in Machynlleth and Conclusion at Llanwydyn/Vyrnwy.

Last year we carried out a joint Tarian Glyndŵr and Brwydr Glyndŵr event to mark, both, the 'Land Grab' sale of the Vyrnwy Estate and to commemorate the Battle of Vyrnwy which took place on 24 Medi 1400. This years poroposed walk could also be taken advantage of thus for three Patriotic Campaigning reasons by Individual Campaigning groups to draw attention to the following:

1: Need for Battle of Vyrnwy Battle Site to be registered and an official Plaque put up and sculpture placed in the Sculpture park:

3: The latest battle being fought to defend Cenedl Glyndwr from both Industrialisation pof Rural Cymru with the 'Windmilling of Wales and along with it Desecration of our Heritage in the Landscape. Thus this year we are making it possible for this event to be such that it also publicises the awful plot to desecrate our Heritage in the landscape in Powys and also despoil what has often been called the 'Powys Paradise' with Windmill Turbine Plantation, National Grid Electricity Hubs and Pylons across our countryside all very much to the profit of England not local Welsh Communities. To this end, I will offer opportunity of this event to present Montgomery & Powys Protest Organisers to use in organising their own walk along the trail as a means of raising publicity and perhaps as a fund raiser, this I shall all leave to they to organise if they so wish.
